Yellow Birthstone

     Topaz, the birthstone of November, is also the anniversary gemstone of the 4th year of marriage. For the Egyptians, it was a very powerful gem to ward against harm as it was believed to be coloured by the mighty sun God - Ra. Topaz comes in many colours, and sometimes has an amber gold, a peachy blush, or a warm brown and orange colour. Some rarer topaz is pale pink to sherry red. The most famous topaz is a giant specimen set in a Portuguese Crown. Topaz is found in Brazil and Sri Lanka. As well, pink topaz is found in Pakistan and Russia. Blue topaz is created in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and China.
