Fine Jewelry Associations

Often fine jewelry
is approved by certain associations to be considered fine. Some of the
more popular associations are as follows.
Gemological Institute of America (GIA):
The GIA was established in 1931 as a non-profit
educational resource organization for the gem
and jewelry industry. It is committed to helping both the industry and
the consumers to understand the world of gemmology by educating and
providing services. It provides jewelers with knowledge, tools and training
to better serve the consumer and to promote the integrity of the industry
and secure the publics trust. Most fine jewelers strive to maintain
GIA standards in order to provide dependability and quality service
to their customers. http://www.gia.edu
